Hi everyone. Writing from my hotel on my phone in a shabby hotel in Ouarzazate Morocco. Completed the 21st MDS (hardest on record i may add) at 11 this a.m with Carl at one side and Will at the other. We got on a 5 hr bus ride still in our sweaty dirty clothes..not nice. Anyhow we have just enjoyed the best showers of our lives, a few beers, dinner and many many rounds of congrats to tent #74. One of the few tents with nobody eliminated. We had a superb dinner full of toasts to everyone for their different contributions and character qwerks...I truly had the priviledge of teaming up with 7 of the strongest, most supportive, good natured, hilarious people I hv ever met.

The finish line came quickly today. It actually caught Carl and i by surprise..we had not mentally prepared ourselves to actually CROSS the finish line and complete this epic week. The realities and joys of it all are still sinking in. Our many tales from these days are long and I plan to recap a great deal when I finally get to a normal keyboard but what I can say now with about 12 hours of reflection time is that it was more challenging then I ever could hv imagined. Every day out there had a new set of truly severe difficulties.. Be it wind ,dunes ,heat, unbearbly long distances, terrain, water shortages, hunger, sleep deprivation, illness etc. but I was amazed by how quickly we all reacted and became resiliant to anything that was thrown our way. By the end there was a general mentality of 'aint no mountain high enough'..no matter how big the dune or the temperature we always knew and believed we were going to make it across the line one way or another...head down...mind
clear...heart strong.
I'm absolutely exhausted Carl is already asleep. Will write more tomorrow.
On a final note... Cant say again how much your words of support have meant to us. We love you all. We are so lucky. Xxchloe
