The No.1 Tuareg band from Mali...they were the headline act at the Festival au Desert at Timbuktu...pulled out due to family tragedy...silence in the crowd when announced...in respect & sorrow.
Went To Womadelaide 2012 to see them...the music took me back to Mali...sitting on a dune...listening to exotic music...with the Tuareg.

Reply to this Check out some of the blues buskers, on Grafton Steet, Dublin, Ireland. I used to live within walking distance of this street, and it was one of my favourite places to hang out. I recommend, that anyone visiting Dublin, hangs out there for most of the time they spend in Dublin. This is what I do, when I vist Dubln.
And, if you hang out on Grafton, you might get a surprise treat sometimes.
And, what is very special is the Blues Festival, where Blues bands, both Irish and foreign play free of charge in the streets of Dublin for around a week every Summer. There is usually/always a very special guest who plays an open air concert ourside Trinity College. One year, it was BB King. Thought id mention that, as so many are mentioning him as a favourite on Blues threads in this forum.

Denise & I recently saw the legendary BUDDY GUY again...76 now but still the best Blues Guitarist in the World...inspiration for Jimmy Hendrix no less...still rocks my socks off.
Buddy's support act was JONNY LANG...been following him since he was a gun child prodigy guitarist...waited years to see him...simply brilliant.
After the show chatting to my mate WOLF MAIL...Canadian bluesman...knows me as I see him when he is in OZ...well that's the intro...now for the Irish.
Also met that night a guy that was telling me about RORYFEST at Ballyshannon, Ireland...an annual Festival (May/June) to celebrate the guy who was a major influence in my love for Blues...the late RORY GALLAGHER.
This music festival may get me to Ireland...part of my heritage.
Seen Rory twice...have about 10 of his albums...his 1972 "Live in Europe" was my favourite...can only find a few tracks from that album on video...maybe later...but for now...one of them

This is such wonderful music and a great video except - no camels! Lots of moths, one goat, and something cooking over the fire (which I hope is not a camel). We'll need to chat to the makers of their videos to ensure more camel coverage next time.
