We are back on the road again! After church today we drove from Colorado Springs to Greensburg, Kansas. We decided to avoid the interstate and planned our route out through eastern Colorado and into Kansas so we could see the landscape. As the mountains disappeared behind us, we passed ranches and farms watching the land change from browns and yellows to greens. We stopped for lunch in Lamar; the visitor's center was housed in the old railroad station, once part of the old Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe rail line. We spent the night in Greensburg, Kansas, a town that suffered a devastating tornado in 2007. Since then they rebuilt many of the buildings downtown incorporating green technologies.
