After getting back to the RV last night, Ray proceeded to input photos to the blog. As you may have noticed, there were no captions with the pictures. He said that he had been over served, and that I was lucky the pictures got in! It was a fun night, and great to be having diner out. There were many laughs throughout the evening, many of them at my expense. After breakfast this morning, Ray needed to dump the RV's tanks. As he was doing this, Raymond asked if he could show him how it's done, so he went over to his RV. They must have Conan working at the factory tightening up the dump tank cover. Woke up to a cool, but glorious morning. The sun is shining and the sky is clear, a perfect day for touring Yellowstone National Park. We stopped last night in Wapiti, WY at Green Creek RV Park . It was a small, but clean park and it had this very unusual structure at the top of one of the hills on the property. It looked like a cross between a castle and a pagoda. Someone had obviously put a lot of time into it, but it was never completed. Ray later inquired about it and was told is is called The Smith Mansion. We woke up to another beautiful day in Oacoma, South Dakota. Last night we all slept quite well, in fact, we overslept this morning. Raymond and Tom remembered to close all of their windows so they didn't freeze their nuts off like the previous night. We had breakfast, our morning strategizing session and scrapped the bugs off the windshield. Raymond and Tom are getting more adept with the RV after only one day. At 8:40 we hit the open road, and I mean open road as the highway was empty. The landscape is now changing into rolling hills loaded with cattle. Our first stop today will be the bad Lands. The Badlands are peaks and valleys of delicately banded colors. The Lakota people were the first to call this place "Mako Sica", which translates to "Badlands". ... read more

Well, here we are at the end of another spectacular vacation. This morning before our departure to Paris we visited The 101st Airborne Museum in Bastogne. We have been to many World War I and II museums, but this by far is one of the best. This three story building was constructed in 1936 as a mess hall for Belgium officers. In 1941-1944 it was in the hands of the German Army, and then after the end of the war by the United States and given back to the Belgiums. For those of you not familiar with the history of this area the Battle of the Bulge was fought here in Bastogne. The artifacts of the war that are throughout this museum are incredible.
