This morning we woke up to heavy rain and wind which has continued on and off for most of the day. I guess this is a minor version of what the monsoons must be like.
Last night we noticed the empty parking lots after the tour buses left but they were full again this morning. The people selling the cheap plastic raincoats must be making a fortune.
We did go out for a while in the afternoon when the rain lessened for a while. Thankfully we were able to return to our hotel room while hundreds of others returned soaking wet to their tour buses.
Our itinerary for the day was to visit a few of the ancient "relics" located on the old city. Hoi An was in fact the major trading centre in Central Vietnam in the 17th century but politics and geographical changes necessitated the move to Danang. In some ways that meant the city remained very much the same through to present day and Heritage status was granted.

The rain must have reminded you of home - where, guess what, it is raining!
