A slow start to the morning as we are not catching the train to London until after 10:00 when the offpeak period starts. Caught the local train to Cardiff Central and then changed to the London Paddington train at 11:55. It was not very crowded and a nice journey.

From Paddington we caught the Undergraound to Earl's Court to check into our accommodation. The room they gave us was terrible. It was meant to be a triple room. Yes, it did have a double bed and a single bed but the room was was very small and we had trouble opening the toilet door. It was below street level, the aircon didn't work , the toilet seat was broken and barely room to shut the door when using the cosmode. To top it off, we could only get wifi if we went to the coffee/kitchenette area. Back to reception to ask if there was another room. She gave us the key to a room upstairs (above street level) so,we could have a look. It is a double not triple but seems very similar in size. Back down to get our luggage and move upstairs.

By now is was about 16:00 so we decided that later we would do one of the Jack the Ripper tours. There was a pub crawl, ghost tales tours but unfortunately it was booked out. There are several tours each with lots of people on them. Most of the people on ours were American. After the tour we visited the pub called Ten Bells which is apparently the pub all the victims drank in. It is also m to be the original decor.

Back on the Underground to our accommodation for hopefully a good nights sleep.
