Had booked in for breakfast with some grizzlies on the top of Grouse Mountain via the internet. We got up early even though Isaac is up early every morning and puts himself into his pushchair at about 5.30am every morning ready for his next big adventure! We needed to walk to the waterfront, get a ferry across to Lonsdale Quay then a bus to the mountain. This all seemed rather hassly but worked out perfectly pleasant and straight forward.
The sky train up to Grouse Moubtain is disappointing as they crowd a huge number of people into one 'train' making it very much a transit experience rather than a touristic one. On arriving at the top, we followed the bear prints on the ground, past some amazing chainsaw sculptures, and went to wake up the bears. When they did appear, they were wonderful to watch. Breakfast was in a little yurt (of all things!) the spread was fantastic. Love cinnamon toast and the bear gingerbread was a lovely touch plus free bear ears and honey for Isaac.
The highlight of our time on Grouse Mountain was Grizzwald the Bear who we unashamedly stalked for the best part of the day. Isaac went from hesitant and wary to playing neighs on his big furry foot! The bear and the girl accompanying him were a delight and would put even Disney crew members to shame! The while of the mountain was shaken by issac's joyful screams of 'BEAR!!' every time we spotted them! I even got 2 free drink coupons by doing a survey whilst the girl held onto Isaac's reins!
The bus journey back was entertaining. Isaac played with poor unsuspecting members of the public whilst I got lots of excellent tips for places to visit from a fellow Mummy. We tried one of them out straight away and headed to the night market at Lonsdale Quay. It was wonderful to see all the different good carts. The place was absolutely 'buzzing' but it wasn't just young people -pushchairs, elderly, dogs ... A great place to be! We hope to return tomoro daytime for more live music and entertainment.

I was waiting with excitement for the next entry! This is certainly an excellent way to keep in touch. Following the footsteps to find the escalators in Queensgate was good preparation for following the bear footprints! Well done for gettin
g him happy with dressed up characters! I keep thinking of Isaac sitting in his buggy, ready to go at 5.30am! You must be shattered!
