A good long day of travel and an overnight flight brought us from Buckhorn to Peterborough to Toronto with a nice 3 hours in the Maple Leaf Lounge to enjoy the perrks of first class travel. We felt very special. Caught our flight at 5:30 and touched down in Montreal. There Was some confusion about the next leg of the flight to Geneva and where it departed from. After a lengthy walk we made it from Gate 68 to 50. There was a one hour added delay due to a malfunction in the on board entertainment system. We finally boarded around 9:30 p.m. and were wined and dined across the Atlantic. We were able to sleep for 2 to 3 hours but woke up very groggy as it was soon time to land and have a bit of breakfast (At 3:30 A.M. Toronto time!!) It was lovely having a travel pod with its own entertainment screen and movies. The seat in a pod has all sorts of settings from complete upright to a flat out for sleeping time. Foot recliner, etc. We tried them all!

Picking up luggage and our passage through customs in Geneva went smoothly. Once outside the

customs area, we quickly met Dom, our Air B and B host who very kindly drove us to his flat and got us settled into our room. The drive between Geneva and Ferney Voltaire was about 10-15 minutes. He is a very nice, easy going young man. He loves to meet new people and loves being an Air B and B host. He made us feel very much at home in his very large and stylish flat. There is a lovely view out of our bedroom window of Mont Blanc in the distance.

We were in great need of some sleep so had a lie down for about 4 hours. Later on around 6:00 pm we ventured out to explore the local area. We are staying directly over a Patisserie with lovely cakes, pastries and sandwiches. We grabbed some sandwiches of baguette with ham and cheese and sat out doors in the lovely sunny evening and enjoyed the local flavour of our area. We then explored the immediate area and discovered a Turkish restaurant, a bar, Pharmacy, hair salon and cigarette/ magazine shop. We found our bus stop where we can catch the bus (Bus F) which will take us right into Geneva in 15 - 20 minutes. That will be for tomorrow. We also found a nice grocery store close by and picked up a few items for our little bedroom fridge. Came home and relaxed from some full on travelling In the past 24 hours. Tomorrow is another adventure yet to unfold! Good night.
