Getting closer to the show
As it became closer to the show starting the Giant Tree Grove started to light up 15 of these in the area we were in and each had plants all the way to the top. I was sitting under this one and Mick was lying down watching it and the others. Geo: 1.28941, 103.85
Caught the Bus to the Zoo at 9.30am from Suntec and we have finally managed to navigate, the underground tunnels which are incredible and more going on underground than above. Our bus ticket ran out today at 2.30pm, so we figured we would be ready to come back by then anyway. The ticket inspector talked us into seeing the Gardens by the Bay Lights display at 7.45pm and second stop by train from Suntec, the bus run stops at 6.30pm, sounded good.
The Zoo was incredible, saying it again about the Singapore experience and it took the bus 30 minutes to get there. Took the Tram from one point to another and saw everything we wanted to see, I just love the animals in this place and the room they have to move, rather then penned up and I saw a beautiful White Tiger, while Mick had a cigarette behind a bush, completely smoke free, and many other fantastic animals!
So many animals from little Otter's to free ranging Orangutans, Asian Elephant's. The Tram rides which had 4 stops we could get off at and explore, meeting it at the next stop in a Zoo that covers 26-Hectares, 80 acres
and we managed to finish in time to catch the 1pm bus back to the city.
We looked into a train ticket for tonight only two stops from Sunteck, but after I approached two windows marked tickets, that they did not sell and we would need to transfer to another train, at the first station and need change to buy the ticket at a machine, we decided it was too hard! Okay for you people from the city but out of our league, so Mick asked the Concierge at the Hotel and a Taxi would take 10 minutes for $10, sounded good enough. We have the Gardens by the Bay Light display at 7..45pm and at 8.45pm there is another somewhere near by, will find out tonight.
Arriving back we decided to have a quick nap and then Mick really wanted a beer so headed to Raffles Hotel, I had two small beers and Mick with the first order asked for a big one so they bought out a yard for him! The next beer he had was a small glass and once again the Raffles Hotel is one out of the box and cost $101.20, it is interesting
Laser Light Show
Have taken video on my Go Pro and cannot transfer the show was spectacular to see the range of so many people from all over the world, so this place has a right to charge what they want, mainly because of the history attached to the place.
Never seen a light show like we saw tonight, huge crowd outside under the Giant Trees and we arrived an hour early, thank goodness because the crowd was huge and we realised why when we saw the light show which lasted for 15 minutes, just brilliant. The show occurs every night at 7.45pm in the Garden by the Bay, free to watch unless you wanted to go up the top of the trees where there is a walkway and that even became crowded. The highlight of the holiday, incredible!
