We had a leisurely breakfast and then finished getting the house tidied and ready to give back to its owners. The ladies arrived at noon to take us to the train station for our trip to Versailles. We have so enjoyed their company and we will definitely stay in touch.
At the train station we had a quick coffee before catching our train. We were about 3 1/2 hours to Paris, where we had to change trains, and that went smoothly. When we arrived in Versailles we had a bit of a wait for a taxi, but we finally made it to our exchange home. It is nice home in a quiet neighbourhood. We dropped off our stuff and headed out to find some dinner. But France being France everything was closed. Adding to this frustration is that now that it is August most business in northern France close and everyone heads south for the beaches!! We luckily managed to get to a grocery store fifteen minutes before it closed to pickup something for our dinner.
