We had an action planned day planned today so headed into town first thing. Our first stop was the observatory at the Prudential Tower. This was one of the lower skyline views we visited but then Boston does not having a lot of skyscrapers so we still got a perfect view. We could see all of Boston - including the legendary Fenway Park.

After we descended the tower we decided to call by The Cheesecake Factory for a spot of Brunch. Simon had a combo of pancakes, bacon and eggs, whilst Nicky had the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes topped with strawberries. These were both delicious and a very nice treat. All made nicer by the fact they had the Wimbledon Final on the TV - it was the final set so we could not leave until we watched Murray win!

We then meandered through town stopping to admire the Boston Public Library and Trinity Church. After this we walked along to the Boston Public Park - this was a beautiful park which had a lake with swan boats on it although Simon thought we were too cool to ride on them. We walked through the park to see the waddling ducks sculptures which are a mum duck followed by her ducklings and were very cute indeed.

We crossed the road and into Boston Common which was the first public park in the US. This had a large pond called Frog Pond. As a respite on a hot summer today like today it acts as paddling pool for children and adults alike. We spent a while there resting and enjoying the sunshine, although we didn't venture into the pond. We then went and admired the State House.

As we had enjoyed our walk there so much yesterday we headed back to Quincy Market to stroll through shops and admire the ambience.

Then it was back to collect the car and head out of Boston and onto New Hampshire.
