We got up nice and early today - 6.12 as we were going to see if we could get tickets to the Petronas towers. After a quick breakfast we caught a taxi to the towers. We got dropped off right outside at 7.21. When we got down to the bottom floor the line was already massive. Mum estimates 200 people and they opened the doors at 8.30! Every so often the guards were coming through to push us all closer together to fit more people in and not everyone got in the line. There is a quite large spot in between the escalators that was filled with people who didn't fit in the line. When we first got there I knew we'd be in for a long time so straight away I sat down. At first I just got weird looks but not even 20 minutes later everyone around us was sitting. It was just like rings around us and me in the middle, the people that could see me sat, then the ones who saw them sat and so on. We got tickets for 9.30am. So as that wasn't long away we went into the museum. It was pretty good, as it was very interactive. I found out that it took 281 times my height to get to the top of the towers and that KL tower sways 3m. When our time was called we went and lined up, then had to go through airport security. The lift took us up another floor every second. It was really fast. When we got to level 41 we had to listen to a speech, saying how much the bridge moves and that it twists in the middle - a great thing when you're petrified of bridges. As soon as we could go I went soldiering across as fast as I could so I could say, I did it. But then mum made me do the whole photo thing and it's really hard to smile when I was shaking so much. When our time had finished we went into the shopping mall, but we wanted to go to the park on the other side. We found it relatively easily and then found the perfect spot to take photos of the towers. We then went walking around the park and found a small pool. It was really funny watching everyone getting the whistle blown at them for random things like sitting on railings until it was me that got in trouble, because I went into the pool holding my camera, wearing clothes and because I'm older than 12. Strict! We went back into the mall and had lunch at Dome, well we were meant to be. We ordered and all but they were slow and wouldn't bring mum cold water which she really needed so we walked out.-the whole way out mum was saying about how bad she felt. But they deserved it. We found some water, in the end...

After the towers we caught a taxi to Central Market, it was nice but very touristy. We then walked to China Town where we got some DVD's and $5 t-shirts. It started raining just as we were ready to leave, Murphy's Law I guess. We caught a taxi to the Pavilion. Everyone was standing around at the stage area so we decided to go see what all the fuss was about. We worked out that it was for the F1 which is on the weekend here in KL. Lotus was unveiling their new car but neither of us are into car racing. We went to sit on the steps, that also turns into a grandstand when we were asked to move over a bit as people were doing a dance. We assume it was sort of like ;So You Think You Can Dance' but were not really sure. Anyway we moved back and saw a camera crew. Mum said to me "gee, imagine if they came to us - I hope they don't". At this stage they weren't interviewing anyone, but they obviously decided to start off with us. Seconds after mum said this "Hello, do you mind if we interview you? What do you know about Lotus" coming from one of three guys standing around us with a camera and microphone. Mum said "nothing, we're just seeing what's going on" at this stage she's looking really embarrassed. She was then asked to give a message for the team. Mum just said" oh, well good luck to them, I hope they go well" then as soon as they went she's asking me if it was a them or he. It was the funniest thing ever.

After that we went to the Kenko Fish Spa. A fish spa is just as it says, big tanks filled with flesh-eating fish that you put your feet into and they eat the rough skin. We had to wash our feet first, up to our knees then we were allowed to go in. Of course mum made me put my feet in but I spent about 10 minutes trying to fully get my feet in and keep them there. It was the weirdest sensation. They all just came to your feet and stared sucking away. It sorta felt like a massage chair with loose wires or something. It's really hard to explain just how weird it felt. Mums feet were a lot more popular than mine though. In the last five minutes I convinced myself to put my feet in the big fish tank. The small fish were only 5-6cm but the big ones were at least 10cm. The big ones hurt when they went on your legs they were that big. After the fish spa we had an early dinner at Dome, where we went for lunch the first time but this one was at the Pavilion no Suria KLCC. It was really nice there.

After dinner we came back to the hotel and then went for a walk along Bukit Bintang. We went to Lot 10 but that was really small, and most of the shops were shut. Then we went to Sungei Wang Plaza. This one was quite large but it was an absolute maze inside. The shops were all local kind of shops, they had nice clothes-in some shops, but they were all brandless. There was lots of copies of DVD's and other thing like that. It was seven stories high and in a B shape with long isles coming out of all the sides. Confusing. We spent awhile in there and came across a couple who was waiting behind us for the tickets and stopped to talk to them for a bit. 40 minutes after we decided to leave we left. We may both be females but we do have some sense of direction and whoever designed this place sure didn't! From there we pretty much just walked straight back to the hotel and here we are. Oh and on the way back we found a Gloria Jean's but they don't sell Tim-Tams.
