Kilkenny to Dublin

We got into Dublin at 12:20 and took an 1 ½ hour lunch break in the city center before meeting again on the bus for a guided tour of the city. I tried to find a pub called O'Neills that Dylan had pointed out, but got turned around and couldn't find it. Since time was running out, I opted for McDonald's again. We met back on the bus at 2 p.m. A local guide traveled with us as she pointed out landmarks and gave us some of the history of Dublin. She was good.

that's the church and street outside where Jennifer and I spent New Year's Eve celebrating with thousands of Irish...just like they do in Times Square in New York.

too bad you didn't go inside the church, it's almost 1000 years old and beautiful inside

We saw it up close and it's laser engraved all around the base. It's actually called Millennium Spire, but also known locally as "the Spike"...lol

I did go inside, but at that time it was being used for some event and no cameras were allowed. It was pretty inside.

I doubled check and yes you're right, so I made the change. Thanks for the info.
