I love this town. I've decided that just like Ubud in Indonesia, this is another place I need to come back to. I want to spend a good length of time here. For the past week (June 22 - 28) I've been living like a local. Shopping for produce at the local market, waving to the same lady that is always fishing in the town's moat, riding my motorbike up the same little sois (small roads) and passing the same monks walking to temple every day. I've gotten into a rhythm, just like I did in Ubud. The people here are so friendly and kind. The vibe is so laid back. I just love it here.

Field day?Field day?
Field day?

Five or six different universities all represented for field day (as I've named it) on the banks of the moat surrounding Chaing Mai. They all had their school shirts on, and competed against eachother in lots of different water events.

Every time I go into the spa for a massage she is eating or sleeping. Today while I was putting on my shoes to leave she looked so peaceful in her nap I had to take her picture. If only you could have felt the relaxation I felt from the massage, and the soothing string and flute music, and smelled the jasmine massage oil - you'd know how tranquil it was to watch her sleep.
