Southbound in Lock 3
Today Sunday October 22, 2006,
We have arrived in Catskill NY, @ the Hop-O-Nose Marina, after two days of traveling through the Champlain Canal lock system. The first night after departing Shelburne Shipyard (Lake Champlain) we docked for the night in Whitehall NY @ lock 12. Saturday we motored through, lock after lock, to Mechanicville NY, which is just after lock 3 where we spent Saturday night. Today we are now finished with all the locks and are now on the Hudson River back at sea level. This will be our first night returning to a tidal influence.

Plans tomorrow are to start with the re-masting and after which we will put everything back together!!

Leave us your comments in the comment section, we would love to hear from you..

Cheers,
Annie & Eric

Hop-o-nose mast rigging
Hi, I'd like your comments on how well the folks at Hop-o-nose marina put/took down your mast. I've got a Hunter 410 and will need my mast deck stepped and will need to have it tuned. I'd appreciate anyones comments. Thanks, Roger

Mast rigging
If you still need the service, Riverview Marine at the entrance to Catskill Creek from the Hudson does an excellent job at stepping. Catskill Marina a bit further up the creek is the best place to stay - great docks, very clean facilities and nice people.
