Hi travel followers/lovers.

We finally got a free day (raining and miserable outside) to start updating everyone on our UK adventures.

After leaving Martinstown and after we finished our first UK house sit, we had 4 days to tour the south west coast of Cornwall, England. We travelled from Martinstown to Polperro via Lyme Regis, Sidmouth and Plymouth. All lovely towns, BUT I must say Polperro has to take the win for the most beautiful little cove we have seen to date. We stayed the night at Milly's B&B after walking to the Smugglers Cove , but the weather was a bit crook so we waited it out in front of the fire with a couple of "Pimms & Ginger ales" in the Three Pilchards Inn while overlooking the harbour. Just one of those spots and moments we will remember forever..

Day 2 touring involved more sightseeing of the Cornwall coast. We headed south again from Polperro to Lands End via St Austell, Truro, Penzance and then from Lands End at the very South West tip of England back up the western coast to Port Isaac via Redruth and Wadebridge. We must say it was not a good day for driving as the weather was absolutely atrocious. I.e. The fog, rain and wind barely lifted all day. In other words typical UK weather. We nearly got blown away at Lands End which is on the Atlantic Coast. We must say however that Port Isaac is a really lovely spot to spend a day and is of course the home of Doc Martin or at least the show.

On day 3 of free touring we did another trip north along the Cornwall & Devon Coast lines from Port Isaac to Taunton in Sommerset and visited some beautiful little towns like Parracombe, Lynmouth, Porlock (must return to those two), Minehead and Wellington where we visited the couple and property we will be sitting later in June. Can't wait as they are lovely and the property is beautiful including their three dogs. Two Lurchers and Stanley a Spaniel.
Shame the weather was still very wet because all the little towns we passed through and the scenery were spectacular.

On day 4 there are no second prizes for guessing the places we visited on our way to Winchester - Hampshire -England near where our next house sit commenced. (Itchen Abbas) Finally the weather turned good again and just in time for some excellent sight seeing. As for a little bit of trivia, apparently Winchester was the capitol of England "before" London. I thought I would also throw in a couple of photo's of the B&Bs we have been staying in as well. Another excellent day and again we headed down to the "local" for a pint and dinner and then put the feet up to relax. Ahhhh.

Hope you like our adventures.
