Yamba - Now this is a place to retire!

Back on the highway, we soon pass a bad accident involving a trailer. We drive slower. Approaching the Scottish town of Maclean there is a terrible noise in the trees. Looking up, we see thousands of fruit bats hanging from branches and sunning themselves. Eerily, they have taken up residence at the cemetery.

Yamba has a famous surfing beach and lovely vistas. It is a small place perfect for retirement. Out on the golf course is our first look at kangaroos lounging on the greens. We are told they keep a close eye on the daily golfers, waiting for them to leave so they can have the space back to themselves.
