Arrived in St J P P and most of us off the train walked en masse to the Accueil pelerins to get our pilgrim passports for 2 euro and they also provide lots of other info. Luckily I was near the front of the queue which snaked out of the building across the street.

The town /village is a mix of white red rooved houses cafes and bars and a much older part which is old stone buildings on narrow cobbled hills.

The bad news today was that I've run out of data even though its switched off on my phone and I have been using wi fi so some thing is happening that I don't understand. It made it a pain finding my accommodation though with no google maps, no French and few signs on the buildings. The other bad news is my rucksack is too small for me even when fully adjusted so I'm carrying all the weight on my shoulders. Not good.

The good news - look at the photo of the view from my room!
