The morning after the day trip with Ania's dad, Ania, Daddy, Ania's, dad,and I went drove to Lviv. Ukraine was my 66th country. The drive was about 1.5 hours and it was not far to the border. The border did not take too long, but the drive from the border to the Lviv was about 1 hour. Once we got to Lviv, we checked in to our great hotel (
Atlas Deluxe Hotel) We had the presidential suite was really big and nice.
After check-in to our hotel we started walking around the city. We went into a restaurant (
Dim Legend ). It was really cool because it had 5 stories and different themes on each floor. On the roof there was a car that we went into and took pics. Ania's dad did not want to eat there because he said they did not have good beer. We decided to go to the main square to find a cool restaurant to eat at. We decided to go to a small little place on the main square. We had pierogis and nice cheeses. We also had a flaming sausage plate that came on fire to our table.
After that
we went to the chocolate factory. At the chocolate factory it was packed and it had about 3-4 stories. On one story it was just where you can order some chocolate. The second story was a shop. Another story was a cafe and then there was the roof. It had a great view of the city. We saw where they made the molds of the chocolates. There were bunnies, shoes and more. The best part was trying the chocolate and eating eating it.
We then walked more around the city. We went in the opera house, churches, and went shopping. Ania bought an antique watch. I bought earrings for my mom as I do every trip. We then went back to the hotel. After laying around in the hotel we decided to go out for dinner. The restaurant was called "The Most Expensive Galician Restaurant" or the "Masonic Restaurant". At first, it did not seem like anything special but then it all changed. First, we knocked on this door and a guy in a robe let us in. It looked like a little apartment. Then you went through these curtains to see a dim lit big restaurant.
When we looked around, I noticed something. The reason it was called the Masonic Restaurant was because it was Mason Brother Illuminati themed restaurant. The first thing I saw was these paintings of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln and a few other presidents. The presidents were known to be the starting point of the Mason Brothers. I also saw the triangles with the eye inside which symbolized the illuminati. I also a few pictures of the illuminati's secret language. After we sat down to order our food, me and my dad decided to look more. At first we saw a bathroom. It was not just a regular bathroom, it had a throne as the toilet. While we were passing by, a nice American woman told us that we needed check out the other bathroom in the back of the restaurant. It was difficult to find because it was behind a curtain and the door was the door of a safe. We opened the safe door thing, inside there was a toilet but on the walls and the floor there was money everywhere. That is why it was in the safe. The food there was pretty good. My dad and I
shared a huge meet platter. The best thing about the restaurant was the atmosphere and the history around it. It was by far my favorite restaurant on our trip.
The next morning, we woke up and went back to the main square to get more souvenirs and chocolate for presents. After that we drove to a cemetery (
Lychakivske Cemetery ). The cemetery was really cool. It was not like a cemetery I had ever seen before, even though I have not been to many. It was cool because it did not have just small tombstones, it had huge structures and sometimes a story to go with it. Some of them had huge angels or just people in general. My favorite grave was one where it had a guy on a canoe and below it was these cool little blue waves made of glass. So I made a conclusion that maybe his dream was to be on a boat.
After that, we decided to get back tp Przemsyl. The trip to the border was not too bad, but to get across the border was horrible. When we were at the end of
the line, Ania's a bit crazy dad decided to skip part of the line. How he did that we did not know, but we were glad he did. Even with the "shortcut" it took a long time.....4 hours. We bought some food and to make the weight easier we bought cards to play BS and war. After the border, it was an easy trip back to Agata's house. Lviv was a lot of fun. It was a small cute city with a lot of history and lot of things to do.
