I have known my oldest friend, Beth, since we were born, as our mothers were in the maternity hospital together. We went to the same primary school, but since we grew older, we have always lived at opposite ends of the country which makes visiting harder. Enter "the Old Ladies railcard" which makes it all possible with little effort. So I went on the train to Kent for a few days and walked along the White cliffs of Dover, strolled through a beautiful bluebell wood and had a look at the town of Hythe. Plenty of chatting and eating, and a good time was had by all.
