So it has been two years since I came home from India... and no more blogs! Since then I have done two trips back to Thailand and Cambodia and currently in the mode of planning my HONEYMOON at the end of this year to Vietnam and Cambodia! I figured it was time to at least get this blog up to date, even if not in so much detail as I would usually give and try to get back into blogging on the next trip properly.

So I ended up spending a week in Udaipur after being stabbed with the needle in Jodhpur. I was looked after by Akshay and his lovely family. I experienced Holi Festival while there and it was an eye opener. I ended up leaving the celebrations early as I think I was still a little freaked out by the needle incident and felt quite anxious about the crowds. I ended up spending Holi at the guesthouse where I found myself covered in the colourful powder and water with Akshay's family and friends! Most of my time here was relaxing at or near the Guesthouse. The hospital put me on HIV medication 'just in case' which made me quite sick so while in Udaipur I made the decision to skip South India and go home early.

I booked a flight home via KL where I spent a night splurging at ALOFT hotel. which was great. Here, I lazed by the pool for 24 hours before the long trip home. I was so grateful to eventually make it home. I stayed on HIV medication for a month then had to have blood tests for 6 months to finally get the all clear for any crazy diseases. I have no idea why that man decided to stab me with a needle that night. I am not sure of his purpose but in reflection it forced me home early and while still on my holiday time at home I went out on a first date with my now husband! Who knows where my fate would have taken me had I stayed on to South India... would I have met my soulmate here and be sitting here married two years on? I have no idea. I loved India but it is not somewhere I would rush back to again. Udaipur would definitely be the highlight. The little I did see of it was so stunning and pretty and the people so lovely.

I will leave this blog short and sweet and add some photos!
