A wonderful, unexpected opportunity happened today. Yesterday, we received an invitation from Connie & Fran Curran to come for dinner at their RV. The menu sounded "top of the line." We were drooling but sobbing at the same time. We had gone to the movies (remember?) and never received their message until after the fact. We begged for a rain-check. Surprise.....Connie and Fran stopped by today and said the dinner was for tonight - not last night. Hallelujah! A gift from the Gods! ....and from Connie & Fran. We are to be there at 5:00 PM and don't bring a thing. Now this is my dream come true experience. We are counting the minutes until 5:00 PM. Until then, we puttered around the RV and made one run to Wally-Mart. It is just a daily ritual we find ourselves doing. And loving every minute of it. I'm sure you enjoy this routine run, too.

Because it was dark out last night when came back from the movies and Disney Springs, we did not realize that Steve ( the RV cleaner) and his team had come back in the afternoon and waxed our RV. When we went outside this morning, the

RV was sparkling. Almost like it was brand new...it's really a 2008. Had to wear sunglasses to look at it cause it was so glowing and bright. Cory found Steve in the park and paid him for a job well done.

Because our windows were so clean on the outside, I got busy and cleaned them on the inside. Cory was busy setting up our canopy tent and hooking up more lights. Won't be doing the beautiful lights next year....the park is going to charge us individually for the electric we use. If it's not solar or candles, we won't be using it...rats! He still has more to do but he'll work at it gradually.....you can do that when you are retired.

Yahoo! 5:00 finally arrived and we ran down to Curran's as fast as our legs would take us. We were

like gazelles. They were all set and ready. Cocktail hour first....ah...this is the life. Our friend, Jon, was also invited. He has a terrific wit and keeps us laughing. He's set up right next to Fran & Connie. They are all from Pennsylvania. Fran and Connie are retired teachers. Fran fell off a ladder this

past year injuring his lung badly With broken ribs. He was patched back up and is doing well. Connie has taken good care of him. Fran played golf with Cory and the group last year but not this one cause of his healing process. Next year, Fran. Connie loves to cook and what a great cook she is. Makes Julie Childs and Martha Stewart look like amateurs with Easy Bake ovens. Our dinner menu tonight was: stuffed green peppers made like a lasagna in layers (to die for), salad, bread and wine. Jon brought Pennsylvania farmers cheese....yum, yum. The entire meal was fit for kings. Fabulous. And the fellowship was wonderful....laughs and relaxation. Oh, it did rain cats and dogs but their awning provided us a protective cover and added to the atmosphere with its falling raindrops. We were dry and happy and filled to the brim with scrumptious food.....all prepared by Chef Connie. Gary, Jon's friend from Maine, came by and made his way under the awning. He shared in the jovial chatter. He's a nice fellow. He and Jon share a love for classic cars. They both have beautiful, restored old cars that you would be in awe

over. Thank you, Connie & Fran for a delightful and fun-filled evening with good friends and fabulous food.

Rain has been coming and going since returning to our RV. The constant tapping on our roof by the raindrops can lull you into a good sleep. That's the agenda right now. Sleep tight. See you in the morning.

missing all of you!
What a wonderful group of friends. Glad to see that everyone is well, especially Fran, and having a fun-filled winter at Tropical Palms. I miss all of you and hope to join you sometime soon. I know Jon is in very good hands, thanks to all of you for watching over him, although I'm not sure why you would want to after all of that abuse you have to deal with!!! I do miss the meals he prepares for me, listening to him read the news to me in the morning while I'm putting on my face for the day, his help with taking care of our "kitty kids" (ET & Obie are in depression), his beautiful wavy locks (which I wish he would grow longer), making sure my car is always full of gas (damn it's cold sometimes), running errands for me so I can get other things done, making me laugh sometimes when I least expect it, (not going to say what he does!) and of course, that sexy body!! Love to you all, have fun and enjoy life!!

What a nice note you have written......Jon is so lucky to have you. He misses you and you miss him. Cory really liked the sincere comments you made as did the rest of us. Our thought are with you, Linda, as you comfort your mother.
