Cuidado Tijuana!

Don't go! Don't go! Its dangerous. Dodgy, dirty. Scream the locals from Mexico and California alike. Armed with little more than a passport and a mere trickel of money we ventured over. Curious, intrigued, yet the entire time cautious of the many scams we had heard horror stories about many times over.

Treading further past the boarder, our guards were at the ready, cat like reflexes ready to dodge the flow of bullets and knives surely coming our way. Despeart locals trying to steal their way through life. Still further we walked, no, no taxis they're run by the mafia (supposedly) they'll take you for a ride for sure. Plus downtown's only a ten minute walk away...

Minutes pass, ten in fact, after we start to realise nobody here is threatening, not on the main streets at least. The most dangerious thing was the locals trying to sell you suspect goods. Tourists are friends here, they have the money (not us of course haha). Admittedly someone did steal some food from my plate, but it was pretty funny and it tasted like crap anyway. Store owners are comedians in their own right 'come to my store so I can sell you something you don't need!' or 'come to my store so I can rip you off' these tactics nearly worked too... funny men.

All in all we were safe as your waywon's in a bathtub, in a place not unlike any other street market in the world. Barter and you will get ripped off less, but pretty sure the store owners still have a chuckle once you leave. You know when you've gone too far when they tell you to piss off (eh Leace?!).

So glad we visited, it was a blast, next time we might reconsider playing lets order something we don't know off the menu (eh Cass!)?
