San Diego ZooSan Diego ZooSan Diego Zoo

This guy looks like he's been sitting here for ages...
Now here is a city that certainly stands out from any other on the West Coast. Despite first impressions, illustrated from the inside of an empty railroad station, just past midnight, nowhere to go, because for the first time ever the train had arrived on time. Fear not, we soon had a destination (roughing it yet again at the Ramama Hotel Downtown). We soon found out this city loves to party, such a shame it only lasts until 2am though!

As morning broke, our first destination was the San Diego Zoo 'best in the world'? hmmmm maybe, the animals seem to look the same wherever we go. They never seem too excited about the situation either, but neither would I if people drank those delicious slurpies in front of me all day and didn't even leave a sip! Probably a little drained from the journey that preceeded this trip a seated tour round the zoo was about as much as we could muster. Sleep was waiting!

Sea World also produced the goods. You have to love the Killer Whales, how smart are they?! It is such a shame they have to perform to such cheesy music and cheesy sentiments

The best zoo in the world apparently... turns out some of the animals are quite good looking as well.
like 'everybody cheer for Joey (some random child they find in the front row) he wants to be a marine biologist when he grows up!' grrrrrrrr. In saying that though, who wouldn't love to have the job of swimming with the whales all day, even I'd consider dancing round like a penis to do so.

The nights were tame in comparison to the train ride, but fun all the same. Hit up the HI in San Diego if you get a chance, its a great place, just needs a little encouragement in the drinking department. Somehow we nearly got kicked out of there too! hmmmmmmm.

There is so much to see and do here, I feel a little ripped off we only had three days to explore because some beautiful California beaches were calling and we didn't have time to say hello. Not to worry, I will almost certainly return!

Love it, do it. Even if you don't do anything else...

J😊

Fortunately for us the whales had put a lot more thought into their performance than the Brady Bunch that designed the rest of the show... please note the cheesy message in the background. Enough already!
