We got up at 7:00 a.m. for breakfast and left at 8:30. We made our way down to His Majesty's Theatre where we had our first dress rehearsal at 9:30 a.m., and then we rehearsed the finale with other chosen participants. The festival chose one of our songs, Viva la Vida, as the closing finale piece. We had lunch at noon, and then we got ready for our matinee performance, which was at 1:30 p.m. TASSO was also fortunate to be asked to play the final piece of the night, Mambo Caliente, where Jaymes and Nestor performed their solos. It was a fantastic experience! We repeated the program again, for an evening performance at 7:30 p.m. This time it was a bit dramatic, as just before the curtain went up one of our senior band members, Nestor Grandal, became very emotional and teary. This created a domino effect as there are three other members, Jessie Jay, Robert Maw, and Camara Azubuike, who are also graduating from TASSO this year and going to university, and this was going to be their final performance together. After the performance we all went back to our green room, began to have tea, forgetting that the
buses were waiting for all the participants. Lol! After we got back to the residence, a few volunteers: Fitz, Adisa, Kelly, Marcus, Rhianne, Neil, and Salmon, began to wrap the steeples and prepare them for shipping. We started around midnight and at 3:00 a.m. we couldn't go anymore. Rhianne and Marcus were out cold, snoring. Lol! What good sports! We got 90% of the packing done.

Wow
Really proud of you TASSO. Thanks to all the members, volunteers and parents who made this year so remarkable.
