Day 10
Today we drove to our next destination which wasn't too far, and now we are in a nice chalet at Pyramid Lake. We got here early and couldn't check in, so we did a little exploring. There's an old footbridge that goes to a little island in the lake and explored the island. Then we took a nice 5 mile hike up to a ridge line with excellent views. Met some nice folks along the way. On the way down we started getting attacked by mosquitos and had to put on bug spray for the first time this trip. about a half hour later we stumbled across two Adirondack chairs high up on the side of the mountain. We were a bit tired so we had a seat and enjoyed the views. Once we finished our hike the room was ready and we checked in. Not too long after we went looking for the Jasper Brewing Co. Wasn't hard to find as I have a nose for these things (and also the fact that Jasper is a small town). Had a couple of beers and some wings and nachos and secured a couple stickers for the barn. Now we're both pooped from today's activities and it's only 7:30 and we're trying to determine if we want to go eat something or put on our jammies and call it a day. All this scenery wears you out! We decided to go have a light dinner and then pursue the jammies deal. Tomorrow, we will drive thru Jasper and Banff on our way to Pincher Creek as we begin out journey back home.

I'm very impressed with all of this hiking you are doing! Looks like all the miles have been worth the scenery! :) Glad you are finding some good places for beer too! Did anyone ask where Liftoff Brewery was from? :) ILYSM!

Stuffed Elk?
Are you sure he was alive? Maybe the same person who placed the Adirondack chairs on the hillside for you planted the elk on the side of the road. Great tourist attraction :)
