We left town a little before 6:00 am on Monday. I was pretty sure I had heard Jim tell someone the other day that we would travel no more than 500-600 miles each day. I should have known that once he gets behind the wheel he doesn't stop! Well, I will correct that .... he did stop, 825 miles later. We pulled off the road in Minot, North Dakota, and found a pull thru site so as not to unhook the car. Stopping involves lowering the jacks, extending the sides, and turning on the St Louis Cardinal baseball game. It had been a long day on the road.

We didn't rush to get back on the road this morning, but pulled out by 7:45. Within a couple of hours we were at the Canada border & ready to go through customs. I had read so much information online that we were ready for just about anything. It was a breeze, we merely answered a few questions and were on our way. Once again, Jim stops very little. We did manage a few times for stretching and of course those wonderful stops for gas. The prices have continued to rise each time we stop. I don't like the price per liter, as it converts to price per gallon too high.

While at a travel center, we did ask about the yellow fields and just what they were. They were everywhere, a beautiful yellow & mile after mile of them. They are canola .... and by the amount we saw, I doubt there will be any shortage of canola oil anytime in the near future. The blue fields we saw were flaxseeds. This will all be stored in Jim's trivia mind .... so be ready someday!

Oh, we got as far as Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada today. I think Jim would still be driving, but after another 525 miles today I suggested we find a place before dark. And hey, those Cardinals are back on tv.
