Super market artSuper market artSuper market art

From the art gallery on the third floor
Hanoi doesn't really have super markets like we're used to back home. We have been on the look out for nappies but haven't been able to find the right store. So I resorted to google for help.

I found a forum and someone mentioned a super market walking distance from us. So off we all went, crossing major roads and intersections like a local (walk slowly, straight in front of traffic and they drive around you)

We found the building, a shiny mall, we were surprised to find no super market. In fact it was high end handicrafts, original artworks and clothes.... Not a nappy in sight...and not many people either. The kids play area was a bit of a hit though!

Walking home we came across a mini mart with nappies but it was closed for lunch (lunch is a serious business in Vietnam). Luckily they saw our sweaty children and let us in fanning Elsie while she rehydrated herself in the aisle.

Lunch in a chic cafe and back to the aircon to revive the sweaty kids!!

Buy an umbrella
Please buy a sun umbrella to carry around. There must be a big mall somewhere. The city looks interesting and different.
