walk in the woods around lake We left this morning at 9:15 to head to Tralee where we are to catch a train to Dublin. On the way we stopped at a small waterfall where some of the group hiked to the top of the small rocky hill. There was a lake at the top of the hill. From there we went to Glentinassig Park that had 2 lakes we hiked around. On the way into the park we saw signs for a missing dog and we were on the lookout the whole time. Once we got back to the van, one of our group spotted “Bonnie”. The chase ensued. Dan the football player ran on got on one side of Bonnie and chased her back towards the group. Bonnie ran under the van where Mary got her in her arms. Once she was held she calmed down. Paddy (not Patty as I’ve been writing) called the owner from the poster and told them we had her. Bonnie had been lost for 8 days and they had been coming out daily to search for her. She looked in better health than I would have expected for 8 days lost. Bonnie joined us in the van for a

Bonnie's poster 30 minute drive toward Tralee. We met the owner on the way in. Bonnie and the owner were very happy to see each other and his wife (at work when he called) was crying (we were told).
We then continued onto Tralee to grab carry out lunch and to meet the train. Paddy, Nicky, Tim, Shelly and I were the only ones doing the 6 day tour. Eva takes a train tomorrow and the rest will be in the van the entire 8 days. In Ireland a driver can only drive so many days before having to get days off so Steve (which we did not meet) will be taking over for Paddy but since we aren’t continuing it doesn’t matter.
Paddy got our train tickets for us and we all boarded the train. We did have to switch trains after a little over and hour and we are now on the 2
nd train. In Dublin, Nicky and Tim and Paddy will take a cab into the city center and Shelly and I will take the bus to the airport to catch our flight out tonight to London for the evening. We fly out at 1pm tomorrow for

Capturing Bonnie Iceland.
We got to the airport and flew to London. The flight was uneventful but again showed how bad US airlines are. They just know how to do it overseas (ie out of the country). We get to London and the hotel website says it will be 10 pounds to the hotel. I have 11. Wrong but at least we found out before we got in. Had to find an ATM. Got to the hotel and Marriott had given me gold status for 3 months. That includes club access, free breakfast and premium internet. The club is open till 11. NOT. We got there at 10:40. Went and asked the front desk. Oops under construction and closing at 10 for the moment. They gave us a free glass of wine.
I do hope to find internet access during the time in Iceland to continue the blog but??? We will see.
Shelly wants me to tell y’all about one of the evenings she had in Dingle where she was at the pub and they just spontaneously start singing songs. Everyone joins in. She had a blast.

Kudos for great photos and dog rescue!
I've been a bit behind reading the blog, but am caught up now. Keep warm in Iceland - is that an oxymoron?
