Morning everyone, well VERY, VERY sad news, this evening we are flying home !! Yes our adventures have come to an end ! We had our last night having a drink with new friend Mr Finlow last night. Sue and Brian are away for the weekend, this was already planned before we extended our trip, so we had a quick look at their new abode before we went into the city, except you can only get to their apartment by lift, so yes didn't like the look of the lift so didn't go in it. What sort of building doesn't have stairs ? Ridiculous ! We said our good-byes, even though Sue is due to come back to England next month. We have had the most fantastic 5 months, it has been incredible and we are very thankful to Sue and Brian who gave us this opportunity. I am so glad I have done this blog as it is like my diary and because we have fitted in so much, it really is hard to remember everything. If anyone ask's us what our favourite place is, we both said we couldn't name it because everywhere we went and the people we met were just fantastic. We have covered a good few thousand miles, Perth, Sydney, Adelaide, Queensland, New Zealand, Cook Islands, Tonga, Fiji and not forgetting lovely Melbourne. I have kept a list of the number of planes and boats/ferries we took. Ok, including the planes back to England, 24 planes in total and 25 ferries/boats. So that really is something. Now coming home for a rest !! I said to Stu, I have now found my passion in life, travelling and blogging, but that little ole thing called money is stopping me !! So back to work we go, we are also grateful to our companies giving us the time off, as much as we moan, well who doesn't !! We really are very lucky people to have jobs to go back to. It has been great meeting new friends through our friends and catching up with family and seeing old faces from the past. I cannot believe how the time has flown by, but it always does when you're having fun. Well this adventure is something we will never forget and we are the luckiest couple EVER !!!!! Ok, I'm nearly booing here !! But we really are !! We have 'hideous' flight tonight, will be home tomorrow, my nice brother in law Kev is picking us up and then straight back to my sister's for roast dinner, now that can't be bad !! I may blog when we land just to tell you all, that I will be the shape of a seat when I get off !!! I kid you not !!! It's a long ole flight and yes we have been into Qatar airline offices 4 times now and spoken with Robert about getting an upgrade to business class, I can see by his face what he's thinking, 'oh no this riffraff lot again'!! The thing is, they don't upgrade with points only if you give them 11 months notice, cash talks !! Well doesn't it always !! However Robert is trying his hardest, so we are going to the airport early tonight to make one more desperate attempt, but we are not holding our breath, so in the meantime Sue is left with thousands of points to use, but has since found out she can go to Singapore with them. Now that's a result !! So goodbye everyone, it has been great sharing our adventures with you, thank you for reading my blog, just hope this won't be the last one !! The first of many !!
