Hi travel followers.
Well, it has been almost another two weeks since the last blog and they just seem to keep racing by.
This week we find ourselves at Cotton Tree, Maroochydore on the Qld Sunshine Coast. We thought we would stop here a week or so as there is quite a bit to see in the surrounding area.
However, while we were at Chinderah we also decided to do a day trip to the Natural Bridge via Murwillumbah. We had been here at least 30 years ago and so decided we should pay it another visit as it is such a beautiful place. See photos.
From Chinderah we spent a night at Miami catching up with an old friend (Maria) of Lyn's from her Air Force days. From there we spent a couple of days at Birkdale in the Brisbane Eastern Suburbs catching up with Ian and Nora and then on to Scarborough for another couple of days to just chill out and take in the surroundings of Redcliff etc.
After arriving at Maroochydoore we have done a few day trips to the Hinterland and Glasshouse Mountains. one included taking in places like Mapleton, Montville,
Maleny and of course Australia's Zoo and Beerwah etc. We also visited a couple of the National Parks including Mapleton Falls NP and Kondalilla Falls NP. Both absolutely beautiful.
On another day trip we visited Eumundi and the very well known Eumundi Markets. These markets are at least twice the size of the actual town. Just huge. We then did the circuit across to Noosa Heads and down the Eastern Beaches back to Maroochydoor. Another great scenic drive that I would totally recommend.
It has been "hard", but each day we have been going on sunset walks along the beach and Maroochy River, just because we can and then for real exercise we have been doing early morning cycle rides down the foreshore to Mooloolaba and back. Lovely!!!
Hope you like the pictures.
