We arrived safely in Larnaca yesterday morning and spent a relaxing afternoon in bright sunshine at Paul and Debs home in Chloraka. Then in the evening we all went to a local restaurant where an excellent singer entertained us whilst we were eating some good food. It's great that our holiday has focused so much on family yet enabled us to see so much of the world.
Today I spent some time this morning repacking the cases to take account of the winter clothes we left here on our outward journey. Then we went with Paul a walk around Paphos harbour and back into the town. It is very quiet as February seems to be the month most restaurateurs go away on holiday after the New Year and the Greek Authhodox Christmas celebrations and before Easter and the start of the new tourist year.
We had lunch in a little cafe then walked back through the town and came home where we learnt to play Boogle...a word game.
This holiday had been an amazing opportunity to visit do many different countries and I have learnt so much. We have met many lovely people and I realise how much the media has in the past had a negative influence on my thoughts about places making me wary of visiting. Just because something bad has happened on one single day in a place shouldn't put us off visiting. I realise that the vast majority of the human race are just normal people who love their families and want a happy caring life...what we see portrayed on TV as newsworthy is sadly the worst of humankind but also is very tiny minority andI should not allow this to poison my mind to travel and seek new experiences.

Realisation
Pat writes "I realise that the vast majority of the human race are just normal people who love their families and want a happy caring life." So true! Something I've discovered as well. Safe travels. I am in Antakya, Turkey, a stone's throw from Cyprus where I have ancestry (paternal) but I've yet to make it there which is something I regret.

re Travelling
I totally agree with your comments- the news really does give a biased portrayal .We too have found that most people on our travels are lovely- unless they are driving or Not queueing that is!
