Hi All,
Our first hostel in Phitsanulok has actually turned out to be a hotel, and it was only £3.70 each a night. So after the longest (2)day(s) of travelling ever it was a relief to find someone on the 24hr desk to show us straight to our deluxe private room: travelling in style as always on a budget-Vick loves to find the bargains.
We finally woke up at 2pm, after getting to sleep at 4am the night before!! We were very tired bunnies!!! We had two major things to do today, one was to book the next train to Chiang Mai, and the other was to check the bus times into Sukhothai.
On our way to the train station we stopped at a place called P1 for lunch it was good food, cheap and there was a pool table- so a winner!! We got to the train station and managed to get a good price on the over night sleeper train to Chiang Mai for Tuesday night. On the way back we found the worlds worst outside gym so had to have a go on it!!! (photos to prove it)
We found the bus terminal close to our hostel, and found out our bus times for tomorrow morning into Sukhothai, this was the original capital on Thailand (our day trip tomorrow).
We came back to chill out, until heading out for dinner to grab something small we found the nearest restaurant and as it was busy with locals thought it must be good!!! We tried to order but the girl spoke no English so Vick wrote it all down in english and she got somebody to translate for her, Vick was worried and wanted to leave as she expected chicken on the bone which she hates!!! As it turned out it was perfect, just what we both wanted and was so tasty!!! Cost us a massive £2.50 for both of us with a drink each and side veg dish!! We have missed this cheap amazing food!!! We then headed back for a cuddle up and to start Vick on the first series of Game of Thrones (not her normal thing but its so good I'm hoping she loves it!!).

Im loving your travel blog. Found it by accident when researching travel to SE Asia. I'm heading to Cambodia and Vietnam tomorrow for a 3 week trip. Keep up the blogging....its great.
