Wednesday December 17th, 2014. Caribbean Sea, West Indies

Wednesday 17th December was our first sea day on this trip. This was slightly ironic as our next destination, Antigua, was less than a 100 miles away. We sailed straight out into the Caribbean Sea and then later sailed right back again on a heading for our next stop. Nothing much was happening on the ship. D went to a cookery demo which turned out to be a hard sell for the two restaurants on the ship which have a surcharge of £28 per person for dining there. M went to a lesson on how to get the most out of your digital camera. She is still none the wiser as her new 'all singing and dancing' bridge camera is way more complicated than the 'point and shoot' types which were covered in the lecture. D came along later after the cookery! We did get a couple of tips though. All we need to do is get the book out and work out how to make M's camera do all the things we were told about.

We lunched in the restaurant and the company was quite good. Everyone complained about P & O and how the standards have slipped! M went to the craft in the afternoon but left after 5 minutes as she didn't fancy making Christmas Cards with felt pens and glitter - that is more nursery school than craft class. The other option was cross stitch and that didn't tickle her fancy either. Dinner was black tie with some unmemorable company.
