Dad, Ania, and I left Amanda’s house to go to Solvang. It was a beautiful drive going there. We stopped at a place to get food for our picnic lunch. We got pesto pasta, samosas, kale salad, and cheese. We then met Avo Jay and Roz and all got into one car. We drove to the first winery, Zaca Mesa. My dad, Ania and Roz had wine. I talked with Avo Jay about school and friends.

The next winery was Fess Parker. It was kind of old style with fireplaces and wood walls. Fess Parker was an actor who played in a move called, “Davey Crocket.” Near a couch was a little stand that had the raccoon hats on it.

The next winery was called Bridlewood. It was where we ate all the food. While my dad, Ania, and Roz were having a 20 minute wine tasting, Avo Jay and I set up the table to eat outside. It was really pretty. The tree leaves were different colors for Fall. When the wine tasting was done we all sat down to eat. It was delicious. The pesto salad was the best to me. There was a stairway to get to the horses. They were really pretty.

Our next stop was called Epiphany in the town of Los Olivos. I liked the winery because we were outside together. left my One Direction magazine, so I went back to see if it was there. It wasn’t there but Ania just found out it was in her purse.

We went back to our hotel (King Frederick Inn) and got ready to go out to dinner. When we got to the restaurant we sat outside. I got a piece of pizza and a Ceasar salad. Then we went back to the hotel to go to bed.

The next day we drove to Santa Barbara. We first went to UCSB where my dad went to college. It was humongous. My dad showed me where he lived in Isla Vista. We went to the burrito place, Freebirds, which was my dad’s favorite place to eat at college. My dad and I shared a Monster burrito which was huge.

Then check in at our hotel in Santa Barbara (Avianna Inn). We went to a small winery to meet Bear and his wife. His real name was Barry, but my dad and his friends called him Bear. We also surprisingly met Amanda and Angela. They took me to walk around State Street. When we were walking around Amanda wanted to buy me a pair of shoes (converse). They were so cute.

Then we met at a restaurant to eat called “Himalayan Restaurant”. It had food from India and Nepal where I travelled to when I was three. My dad wanted me to try a yogurt drink called Mango Lassi. It was really good. We got a whole lot of dishes and shared. The bread called nan was soooo good.

When we were basically done eating, my dad’s friends Lynnie and Ron, and their two kids, Amanda and Lyndsay showed up. My dad worked in a restaurant with Lynnie while he was in college. For 6 months after college, my dad babysat Amanda and Lyndsay. He was a “nannie” for them when they were 6 month old and 2 year old. He slept in the same room as them and watched them during the day. My dad said that he danced to “Hair” with Amanda. They are much older now.

We said bye to Amanda and Angela. Then we went back

to the hotel and slept. The next morning to Avo jay and Roz, and drove to the airport. We said our goodbyes to Ania and then flew back to Miami. It was and awesome trip. Our next trip is coming soon to Boston to meet Ania’s family for a Polish Christmas and some of my Dad’s friends.
