There is nothing much to tell about Khanom or show what I have not told or shown on my recent trip to Khanom.

On the first day (monday) I assembled my bike and was really happy that it worked well. I visited my Khanom friends and they were all really happy to see me. I was invited for lunch and dinner and really happy to be here. It was a really happy day. :D

Today I also bought a table and finally established my office.

What was a nightmare though, is what happened to my bicycle. I had a flat tire the very first day (I had only 2 in 3 months last time). I repaired that and had another flat tire only 2 days later. I repaired that too and started to work on my bike power.

The day I wanted to go for my first longer tour, I took off in direction north and after 10 km had - a flat tire. Now I was a little bit (---censored---) unhappy. The good thing was that I really knew what to do meanwhile. I flipped it over under a palm tree and started fixing it. While waiting for the glue it started raining. Buckets! Oceans! I knew it was coming but I had planned to hide under some roof but now I could not move my bicycle. Well - some Thai started gesturing to come to his house and after my tire was attached again, I gladly accepted - soaked wet. Of course I was offered some water, of course he insisted on pumping the tires up fully for me!

The rain did not stop and finally I decided to go home in the rain. That was a really nice trip: empty roads, people staring, warm rain. I enjoyed it. I came home, put the bike on my terrace under the roof, showered and heard a bang. What was that? Well, my bike had fallen because it had another flat tire! The 3rd in 24hrs !! I really don't know what is happening but now I will order kevlar-fortified tires...

I just hope it holds now... and btw, 4 nice, little holes - real flat tires.

So, I will write again when something happens that is worth to be written.

Sawadee krap and good bye.

I checked that already Fel-Lix! All the pinches are from outside, not from the inside. I hope that the first pinch damaged the tire in a way that sometimes stones pinch through the same hole again. Changed front against rear, let's see what happens...
