September is apparently the start of the flower season, or as I like to think, SUMMER.

One Sunday we headed off up the coast towards the national park in Langebaan in search of the flowers.

We had a early start as my friends had said in the past you can Que. along way down the road as they only let a certain amount of cars in.

We arrived just before the gate opened and were about 4th in line. The park was so pretty. The flowers, by all accounts, fewer than in previous years.

We headed out towards the lake and saw the flamingos before heading out to the coast. There was a hill of sorts which had flowers of all colours covering it. with the sea in the back ground it looked lovely.

From there we headed to the popular spot to have lunch and do a little exploring on the rocks.

I have to say I wasn't sure what to expect and I may have been a little disappointed after seeing pictures of what it could look like. But I still had a lovely day and another place and event I can tick off.
