Welcome everyone to 2 Blondes on holiday travel blog.org this is Angie and I started out the day ahead of Francine so I traveled from Columbus to Philadelphia and then from Philadelphia I traveled to Doho, Qatar. Traveling here was very interesting because we went south of Greenland,Iceland came down between Norway and Denmark proceeded through Germany,Poland other Eastern European countries all the way to Istanbul Turkey where we turn due south traveling over some very questionable Middle Eastern countries to Doho. Then flew on to Entebbe then arrived in Kigali, Rwanda. Smooth flying all the way.

Francine up at 5am for one last cycle training ride. Off to work For the day. Then depart Broome Western Australia for 10pm arrival at Perth International. ugh doesnt depart Perth until 6am. First time I have slept on a bench seat For a few hours. Another first. Few hours to kill once through customs. Duty free and a new water proof Go Pro camera.

Finally on plane and a good rest for an 11 hour flight to Dubai. Then on to Nairobi Kenya arriving 7pm. Hicup. Visa not right via Internet. And great to have security but can't access my emails to sort out. Unexpexted stop over in Nairobi for the night. Rwandair staff wonderful in arranging taxi and hotel. Kenyans At hotel so obliging too. Managed a quick 1 min phone call to Angie To advise. Internet at hotel and at about 1am in morning finally access Hotmail. send required emails and off for a few hours sleep in a bed. 7 am back off to airport fix visa and wait for flight. FINALLY 11.30am Rwanda rendezvous is accomplished.

AND we are off to the mountains of Rwanda to have the once in a lifetime encounter with the silver back gorilla and his family.

With our private guide Chris, we drove about 3 hours to the town of ....... About 25 km from the Ugandan border. An afternoon of rest and preparation for the gorilla trek and of course 2 years of news for us both to catch up on.

6am and we are up and off to breakfast. We then head to the Rangers meeting point and are greeted by Rwandan dancers
