Week 3 started in Byron Bay and the most rain ever! We got up at about 11 and went into the communal area, then the rain started and didn't stop for over 12 hours! We couldn't even go back to our room because you would get soaked as soon as you went outside. We decided to play trivial pursuit- which took about 3 hours as it was a 1980's Australia edition and we didn't know any of the answers! Then we got chatting to some guys in our hostel who had a car so we drove to get food and more goon to help us get through the evening trapped inside the hostel. We ended up having drinks and playing snakes and ladders, it was a very random day.
Thursday we went to a cafe and got some tea and cake, then we went to the beach for a bit but it got a bit cloudy so we went home and got ready to go out to a bar called The Northern then onto Cheeky Monkeys where they give out free chips!!!! On Friday we went on a coastal walk to a lighthouse, which is the most easterly point on
Australian mainland. Then me and Emily went to the top of the lighthouse, it was crazy windy! When we got back to the beach we had fish and chips. We decided to have a night in before travelling the next morning and so got Domino's pizza in the evening.
Saturday we got the coach to Surfers Paradise. We went to the beach and then food shopping before going out in the evening. We went to a bar called The Beer garden where there was a band playing which was fun. The next day Alex's friend Dale came to visit and we went out for lunch and back to the beach. Then Emily and I went to Starbucks and went back to our room and watched 'Divergent.'
On Monday we got a coach to Brisbane where we had lunch then got another coach to Noosa. We checked in at Dolphin Beach House, it had small rooms of 5 beds and an oven!!!! We went out the first night to a bar called 'So go.' The next morning we went on another coastal walk through Noosa National Park, we watched for whales with no luck but we did see some dolphins! Then we went for ice cream and to the cinema to buy tickets for the evening, we saw The Inbetweeners 2.

Lovely to catch up on your news - great healthy diet fish and chips, pizza, chips, chips ice cream.............photos are amazing tho xx
