Since the weather has turned so bad we had a full day of no real activity in Reykjavik. We were still recovering from the hike and drying all our gear but unfortunately we could not extend our checkout time at the hostel. So we made some Upma for breakfast and then started packing. Finished just in nick of time and checked out at 11:00.
Now the big question is what to do. There were some museums that I wanted to see. We had not really seen Reykjavik. First order of business was finding lunch though. We started walking around and spotted cafe Glo. It seemed quite popular and one of those organic vegetarian sort of places. We wanted to try it out. We ordered a tex-mex soup with salads and a raw Thai curry. Everything was really good. The soup was highlight and we went for a refill also. We decided to come back for dinner. Its better to stick to known good place rather than venture into unknown.
Next stop a museum. The weather was getting worse. Strong winds and some rain. Since my shoes were still wet from the trail I had to wear slippers and socks, not ideal gear for a rainy walk in cold. We decided to walk down anyway and see the National museum. It's quite close to the main downtown area. The museum is good though quite small which makes sense given the short history of the country. It was overall quite informative.
After the museum we walked back. There was Switzerland match on in our hostel bar. So we say and watched the last half of it. Then off to Glo again for dinner. On the way I did token shopping and got a troll and Viking. Glo did not disappoint this time also. We had a wrap and a nut burger with salad. After dinner there was just 2 hrs to kill. We decided not to go for any other museum as the weather was not too comfortable for walking. We just came back to the hostel and hung out there.

The bus ride back to airport and flight were uneventful.

"Zwei Indians," -Means two Indians, no? Just wanted to say that I think that it's wonderful that you are blogging; Indians who live in the Northwest, love to hike, and go to Iceland is not a common mix. I admire your sense of adventure! Though I like to hike, sleeping out in the wilderness seems daunting to me (though I have done it). Best, Monique

Thank you
Thanks for your comment, yes it is two Indians :). Our next stop is Morocco, and after that hoping to get to Greece in April!
