Its been a busy week in our community. First we had an evening where we learned how to make the "perfect" hanging basket. Gwyneth brought compost and lots of small plants, and gave us the benefit of her experience. All we had to do was follow the instructions. We shall see how well I did in a month or so. They look ok so far!

Then this morning a lot of us got up early and took to the hills for a dawn chorus walk. It was a bit misty but dry, and we heard lots of chorussing! We walked a little over a mile, taking in the healing properties of a well above Meifod, before heading back too the Old School where Megan kindly had a big breakfast ready. Home again by 9.30, feeling that I'd had the day already!

But took the dog out and am now going to visit Mum, who'll no doubt require pushing along the canal somewhere, before shopping. Bed early maybe...
