Sunday morning was again leisurely spent in Adelaide. There's not a lot to do here but I like the city. I went to the South Australia museum. It's the same type like Australian museum in Sydney - combination of nature and Aboriginal art. I was shocked by the human skeleton of Max - see the pictures - even if the guy donated his body to science it means you go and put him in a museum??
However they had one magnificent exhibition of nature & wildlife photographs from some photography contest. They had some amazing photos. I wish I could put some here but of course you are not allowed to takes photos there because of copyright laws. I almost bought the book but it was 60$ and very heavy... it's not a backpacker's book...
In the afternoon I went to Kangaroo Island. When I arrived I had a penguin tour - they have lots and lots of the little penguins living right in the town of Penneshaw where I stayed. I loved them, as always.
Monday morning I had my highlights tour in the island. In fact I booked a much better tour but since I was the only one

And this is the story of his life. When he donated his body to science, did he think he'd end that way?? In a museum??they moved me to this stupid "Japanese tourists" style of tour, without telling me anything. I was supposed to be really angry, but somehow I wasn't. This trip is really affecting me in a great way, I hope I get to keep these new qualities at home too. I did go to the office to tell them I was pissed off - I hoped they would give me some refund, but I had to work hard to pretend I was angry :-) Anyway the tour was a bit stupid, we didn't get to see much but the things we did see were amazing.
The remarkable rocks - they look like man made sculptures that were put there but they are a result of erosion and they are truly remarkable. Seal bay with the Australian sea-lions colony was a real highlight. Some of the sea lion cubs approached us and simply posed for photos. The first one came directly to me - the guide told me to stay still - and he came so close and smiled at me :-)

And this lion - look at the commercial "thank you" sign... and this "lion" is moving his tail! Is that a MUSEUM?? of the dark parts as racism against non white immigrants and against the Aboriginals. I am not sure they really reveal all the dark stories but I appreciate that they try to be honest, at least partially.
To change the atmosphere I went to the national wine center and learned a bit about making wine. I got to virtually produce my own wine and did it very well! I learned the lessons well :-) but I can't promise you it will work in reality, I think I will keep at the buyers' side...
And then another visit to the market, and I am preparing for my next big experience: 8 days "Face the Outback Tour"! 8 days in the desert, from Adelaide to Alice Springs, including the famous Ayers Rock but many other attractions, and 5 nights camping! So no blog updates till it ends I suppose - I hope it will be a great experience. It is definitely an adventurous one for me...

Very lovely photos, especially penguin and domesticated kangaroo Rocks are spectacular, sea lion charming. You photograph well!
