I hope you all had a great Christmas and New year. Things are good here. We are both busy with work and Jos mum has been staying with us over the holidays. Weve managed to go to the seaside a couple of times and the weather is very mild but raining a lot. The roof of my shed has leaked and fallen through and the back yard is under a couple of cm of water. The twins are loving nursery although Im not loving how much it costs !!! It would be great to hear from you all so please send us an update from what you have been doing. according to the stats we have 186 people who read this every time but not many write back so we would love to hear from you.

summer was great. 6 weeks in Poland. The country house now has a small swimming pool and we had a couple of great parties. The drive through Germany was very interesting. We spent the night in Kassel in East Germany which was a very interesting and a nice way to start the holiday. As usual Eurostar and driving in Europe a breeze.

Jo completed her British sign language 2 course and I did a teaching English as a foreign language certificate for fun. I think we both agree that studying while having jobs and kids is very difficult. Apart from some new carpet, sofas and doors. I haven't done too much more to the house and are looking forward to summer as we have holidays booked in the Canaries, Sardinia and back in Poland in August. I just booked the Eurostar so hopefully I can find contracts that are going to allow us to have 6 weeks of again.

Heres are some pics. All the best..

Oprócz kilku nowych dywanów , kanap i drzwi .

Oto kilka fotek . Wszystkiego najlepszego ..

Hey!
Hey Steve! Well...news from CCC - things have changed quite considerably! Not sure you would probably know anyone here anymore - apart from the usual suspects - Gibbo, Catherine, Jo McAfee and Mel Smith. Most have either moved on or across to other companies. Clare Revell and Maurice Dale eventually wed and now have a little girl. Clare is stil doing consents, while Maurice is now working for Boffa. Catherine Elvidge is still do the same. Ditto for Gibbo! Jo Price move back up to Auckland last year and is working for BECA. And Andrew Fitzgerald is working for Novo Group (formerly ViaStrada). As for me...well I finally married my partner, so surname has changed from Sargeant to Piper - quite good for our daugther and school! My daughter Eloise is now 8 - have no idea where the time went. Great to see pics of your twins - they have grown so much, and look like they are a load of fun, great age. I'm not in consents anymore - ended up moving to District Planning Team to work on some plan changes, and then was asked to help out with the recovery of the central city. So now I'm in the urban regeneration team working primarily in the central city. Think my years here at Council really have helped out with getting things done - all those connections I gained! Lots is happening here, as you can imagine - and there has been a major shuffle through the entire organisation with a new mayor and a majority new lot of Crs - all trying to make a difference! LOL. It's a completely different organisation from when you were here! Anyhoo....great that you are continuing to update this blog (cause I get the updates). All the best Steve! Clare Piper (nee Sargeant).

Boy, are you gonna get LOOOOTS of replies!
Gday over there in cold land!!! Freakin HOT over here in Melbourne at the moment ..over 40 degrees celcuis for the whole week! You may know we have had a boy daniel now...2.5 years old..cant wait til he is older to get out of the crying at night EVERY NIGHT stage and needs either Mum or dad there till he drifts off! Josephine is good now at nights. She is speaking Czech and english and is amazing how she converts what she just says to Julie and then turns to me and says it in English! Is that the same with your twins?Only a short holiday (1 week) this year at Mt Beauty (Victoria) this year.we had it good last year with 4 weeks in Tasmania...the last 3 days i think was JUST a bit too long!! we split it in half camping and half units/accomodation...I think the dodgiest was at Zeehan...a caravan that had a leaking sink...into the caravan itself!!I got bogged at King Lake!!!I juuuuust decided to turn around when I think I was going to get bogged if I continued on the waterfront track, when BANG!! sunk in mud/sludge...up to the axles!!!!I had a winch(i have a Toyota Hilux twin cabin 4WD)...but no anchor point in direct line!!!! had to zig zag winch on trees I could find....If you use Facebook, then search Marty Felber......If you are on FB then friend me and you can get to see heaps of pics of our travels! We are still in Rowville, Melbourne. Julies contract didnt get renewed in August(just 6 weeks back from maternity leave), so now she is full time mum...she is going to start a graphic online selling "wall paintings" ..google a place called wall fry http://www.wallfry.com.au/ its something similar to this site, but Julies artistic skills are much better than what this site offers.i am off next week on my annual fishing Mecca up in the high country around Omeo, but its NOTHING compared to the wonderful fishing experiences of NZ south island!!!!Julie went mid last year to Czech for 6 weeks and I stayed here. I managed to get over to tassie for 10 days and that was great by myself...hiking..sightseeing etc (cold mind you)..I had some adventures there on the hikes....I have done heaps in NZ but what troubles I got into in Tassie was amazing.....Got absolutely bush lost for 2 hours....lost my glasses(twig hooked onto my glasses on a tree and flinged them into the bush)...lucky I had a spare set! almost would have died of hypothermia one night as I refilled my water bottle at night at a creek up on a plateau(the water source was only 70 metres from my tent).it was 4 degrees with wind blowing and FOGGY AS!!!i went out in boxers and tshirt to refill(as it had rained the WHOLE 5 HOURS whilst walking). lucky I took my GPS and marked the tent spot and water spot...it was literally like trying to find the tent from the water source with your eyes shut!!!!My head torch didnt pick up the tent until I was 10 metres from it!!!thats how thick the cloud was!!thats about it....We are getting to know a few people via a Czech community called Sumava up at Belgrave Heights area so thats good for both of us to meet new people! so I am gunna have alook at your other pics now .....see ya!
