When you get out of the train station you see the yellow bus. Free transport to the Golden Temple. Religious songs sang on the bus all the way to the Temple . Free trolley and luggage services at the entrance. Toilets are free. Perhaps the largest kitchen , serves food free for hundred thousand people a day. People work voluteerally at different services of the Temple .

By the help of a volunteer guide we took an easy visit to all areas of the Temple . Without guide you have to wait 3 or 5 hours in ques to reach to the main pray hall on the island.

The floor is marble and very cold with naked foot. They put walking carpets early in the morning and take them away when the heat of the sun is sufficient. Every night the area is cleaned and washed by the volunteers. A very impressive sikh religious practices.

We were extremely tired that is why we couldn't visit the border ceremony.



We are now in Kathmandu to fly back to our country.

Awesome place Amritsar
Golden temple is very famous and sacred place of Amritsar. I visited there many times. Too many experiences that i got from there. If you are a visitor like me then would like to tell you that there are too many hotels near golden temple but the awesome hotel with very good services was Swagat Hotel having a website http://www.swagat-hotel.com.
