Bangkok to Chang Mai

We have arrived in Chang Mai to what I can describe as heaven for our hotel it's like a secret hotel tucked away inside a little jungle absolutely amazing!!!



The flight was only an hour but we got there a bit too early being paranoid early travellers I think! Typically though had the fattest 2 people in front of us who decided they needed to have a full on sleep chair back experience for all of half hour think I poked the chair in front too much though and made the lady move...oops! When we got to the airport we got a taxi and our driver was called Ton he is the nicest guy and we have arranged for him to take us out for the day on Tuesday we have told him what we want to do and he is in charge lol. He is learning English and even had a book if reviews from all his customers so I think we got lucky with such a nice driver in return he is trying to teach us some Thai too!!



Today we are going for a bike ride....yes you read right a bike ride and this afternoon we have cooking lessons which I know you all know brad will love but are probably cracking up at the thought of me doing it so I'll let you know how we get on haha!!!



I would definitely say Chang Mai is totally different to Bangkok even though it's a city it's much smaller and so much more chilled and cleaner!!! And you can tell the people are nicer too!



We went to the night market last night where I started off my bracelet collection and bought a pair of Thai trousers for the temples tomorrow should fit right in now!! We met Matt and Alex again got some food from the market for £3 and then had a few drinks in mos room a really chilled cool little bar attached to a hotel where brad was so happily chilled he actually didn't mind missing the football until we got back and saw west ham beats puts 3-0 :-))

So all in all it's been a great start to Chang Mai we will update you if bike riding and cooking soon!!
