Finally got the blog to work!!!! We started our flight from Gold Coast via Kuala Lumpur with Air Asia, it was supposed to be a fly thru but the early morning fly thru part was cancelled giving us an 11 hour stay at LCCT Kuala Lumpur. As we've been to KL a couple of times we decided to give the Plaza Premium Lounge at LCCT a go as we got in at 4am & were really tired. Cost us the equivalent of $60 each for 6-10 hours which included shower, food snacks & drinks including alcohol. No beds but comfy chairs. Would'nt reccomend for families with small kids as there's no where for them to play but ok for weary couples or singles.

Arrived at Phnom Penh to a tropical downpour which had almost stopped by the time we got our visas & did immigration clearance.Flight was good as always with Air Asia but it was 30mins late taking off.Got a cab to our hotel, cost $10 US,The Blue Lime near the palace & an easy walk to Sisowath Quay where there are many restaurants & a very nice walk along the river. Hotel is good, nice room, pool & pleasant helpful staff.Breakfast is good but not much choice. We went to Paddy Rice, an Irish pub where we knew from last year we could get Bundaberg Rum. Meals are good there too with a good variety of western & asian. Yesterday got a tuk tuk to Central markets, then later one to Sorya shopping centre which is the only western style shopping centre in Phnom Penh & has cinemas & air conditioning but is expensive compared to the markets. Most tuk tuk rides in town cost $2US. We were booked to stay till next Monday but Tony's mum is getting cremated on Wednesday 31st July in Brisbane & he's booked to fly out of Bangkok on Monday so we changed our flight from Phnom Penh to fly out this Saturday because of the elections here in Cambodia which are on July 28th & cause massive traffic jams around the city. We lose our 2 nights booking here but at least have peace of mind knowing we'll be in Bangkok in plenty of time for his flight. I'm staying in Bangkok & he'll be back on Friday 2nd August when we'll carry on our holiday.
