A beautiful morning dawned with the forecast being in the 30s, not bad for May. An early start and off to ride the ferry (again), we are almost on a first name basis with the red haired ferry master. He always lets us off first cause he likes us or, he doesn't want us to cause more mayhem by stuffing up his ferry.

We rode down past Blanchtown and stopped at Hilltop and Big Bend lookouts. A great vista at both spots and numerous photos taken, don't miss the opportunity if you are down this way. There was very little traffic around and the roads were a dream. All is now good with the world again.......

Did you know, The Murray river is the 3rd longest navigable river in the world, after The Amazon and The Nile. See as well as being entertained, you are learning interesting and important facts about your country, how good is that?

We made Murray Bridge on a very hot afternoon and set up camp overlooking, guess what? The Murray River, yay, it is a beautiful view and beer o'clock watching the sun set on the river will be outstanding.

Happy Times
It's good to sound you sounding so chipper again. It only takes one or two good days. It's good to get an education about OZ. you are in territory now that I haven't been in, so let me know what the area is like. We go to Thursday Island tomorrow after the tip of Cape York yesterday. Saturday it's off to Weipa and then further south and then west to Normanton and Karumba.

Is Blanchtown the politically correct name for Blacktown? Yes, I knew about the Murray being the 3rd longest river - some things from 6th Class just seem to stick in the memory bank. Main thing - you're both still having a great time!
