When we were riding in to Jamestown and leaving, we noticed an enormous number of wind turbines, I mean heaps. Of course, this morning, most of the tops of them were shrouded in low cloud, but they were all turning.
Thus started another fun day on the road. The only servo in town had so much gravel that Heidi didn't want to play, so only Henry fuelled up. The communicators decided to chuck a wobbly and didn't work half the time. The "low cloud" got lower and colder and wetter......
Heidi started to leak more oil out of the filler cap and soon after the speedo packed it in. A great warm coffee at a very busy Burra went down well, also a good time to finally put the wets on.
On arrival at Morgan, Heidi's right driving light fell off and we booked in to the only caravan park in town. Of course it doesn't have a camp kitchen, but also charges to use the b.b.q. (it is a dump) After getting directions to the grocery store from our ever helpful/friendly office girl. We rode into town for supplies. Guess what we arrived 1 hour after closing time. What is it with South Australian holiday areas closing at midday Sat and Sun or not even opening on Sundays. At least the pub was open, that was when Eoin realized he had left his wallet back at camp.
A quick trip back to camp and the beer problem was rectified. Did we mention that the zippers on Eoins jacket have decided to play up and need a daily dose of WD-40 to get together.
As you can see, not a great day overall, but, tomorrow is another day on the banks of the Might Murray River.

Sound a little road weary
It sure sounds like the cards are stacked against you in SA. Maybe you are getting a little road weary or home sick. I have had that on long trips, but always find that it only takes one good riding day or a couple of good weather days to bring the spirits up again. I hope that the weather clears, the wind subsides and you find a few Aussie gems of towns along the banks of the Murray. We are with four other SC Ulyssians at Cooktown tonight. Tomorrow we head further up the cape and start tenting it after leaving the vans and civilisation behind. Good luck to you guys tomorrow.
