Our morning started again with a cafe creme at the Bistro Dupleix. Could we be becoming regulars?

We then walked underneath the bridge that links the Dupleix and La Motte-Piquet Grenelle metro stations. Every few days, there seems to be a market that installs itself there and this morning was one of those days. It was one of those typical markets that have the farmers with their incredibly beautiful fruits and vegetables as well as vendors plying their wares. There were definitely some very delicious things that were quite tempting including a very yummy looking boeuf bourguignon.

We then hopped on the subway and headed towards Les Invalides. We were able to walk along the grounds and see the beautiful golden dome glistening in the sun.

From there, we hopped on the subway again and headed to the Bonne Nouvelle metro station. First of all, I just love the name of this station ... how ridiculously positive and optimistic!

Our mission was to find the restaurant Bouillon Chartier. A friend of my dad's who lived in Paris for about five years had recommended it and we were both intrigued. The food we have had here so far has been so delicious that we knew that we would be in for another treat. The restaurant has also been in existence since 1896 so that has to mean something!!

The dining room is large and crowded but you forget that very quickly. The atmosphere just overtakes you. We were seated with a lovely couple with which we had a great conversation. The food was amazing. The waiter writes down your order on the paper tablecloth and once done, he comes and adds the prices and the tablecloth becomes your bill! I had this amazing pork loin dish and my mom had the liver (which was apparently quite delicious). So definitely a must-do when in Paris!!

We then hopped back on the subway and headed towards the Place de la Concorde. We strolled through the Jardins des Tuileries enjoying the beautiful sunshine and the warm air. I even had to take my jacket off at one point because it was quite hot. My feet also go a bit of a sunburn! Our stroll took us to the Louvre where we sat by the pyramids and again enjoyed the beautiful spring weather.

We then decided to call it a day ... I think that the wine that we had with lunch hit us and so we were both a bit tired. We stopped for a baguette and a pastry and headed to the room to just relax ... What can I say ... another great day in Paris!!
