Phillips Island!

Hey everyone!

Made it to Phillips Island today. It was about a 150 km ride, and was pretty nice besides the brief rain stop I took. After I got going again it was perfectly dry the rest of the way and turned into a really nice day! The bike is running like a champ and quite comfortable. Now let's see how the 450 km days go! Oi!

Of course, the main reason I am here is for the Little Penguins and the first night of camping. Penguins were so cool! They come to the beach in "rafts", or groups of a few dozen or more that at first look like little waves that just slowly keep coming. Then, as they get closer they relax and rest for a bit, then just shimmy up the beach to their burrows. So funny!

Camping, yes! Doing that now. The caravan park (so it's not *real* camping) has wifi... Of course... haha. So, just writing this from there.

Having some issues connecting my camera to my computer, so can't post more videos at the moment. Hopefully when I get back into the city tomorrow I'll figure out what's wrong.

Yay for Little Penguins!
I loved them! =) Philip Island was definitely a highlight in Scott's & my Australia trip, particularly those saucy Little Penguins. So cute! Hope you're taking lots of pictures! What kind of camera did you bring?

I have a GoPro Hero3, so the new one. It's working OK, but I'm not too happy with the on-bike video and pics... Gonna try to work it out...

much fun reading your log as it's happening. do you have a map of the route you're taking that you can upload? where are pics of the penguins??
